Shop Knives
The heart of our high performance knives comes from time tested bladesmithing techniques that Japan has been so well known for. We water quench our Hitachi White #1 steel which comes directly from Japan. This ultra pure, high carbon steel is clad with a softer 410 stainless steel, giving our blades corrosion resistance and toughness. Forging the steel refines the grain structure, making a super fine, scary sharp edge. Our process, coupled with a handcrafted handle designed for ergonomics and beauty, make using a Muteki knife a truly enjoyable experience!

Who We Are
We are a family-owned, family-run business located at the foot of the mountains in Central Idaho. We continue to hand-forge every knife in the Japanese bladesmithing tradition, as taught to us by Master Bladesmith Murray Carter. Murray, who is 17th generation Yoshimoto bladesmith, spent 18 years in Japan learning the trade. After handcrafting over 32,000 knives and gaining international recognition, Murray continues making top tier knives, and has devoted time teaching us his skills and knowledge of bladesmithing. We are dedicated to continuing these unique bladesmithing techniques.
At Muteki Knives, our customers are very important to us and we aim to give you the best experience possible!
